hence the earlier "action' by the

" '? Reference to t a water ,meter
. placed : in aScio business house
- some . time ago .and discontinued
.within a short time 'prompted the
statement , by Councilman Fred
" Bryan that "It wbuld be a good,
thing If we had lots of meters,'
whereupon Councilman N. I. Mor
rison referred to an alleged case
, of "fudging on the use of water,
for Irrigation in which the hose
; was said to hare been attached In
'. the bathroom and run out of the
window for irrigation purposes. .
"Enough water has been used
during. the 1933 irrigation season,
in Sclo, if paid for according, to a
meter, to put the water system in
fine repair and pay expenses and
add much equipment,' Bryan de
clared. Other members and the
mayor commented on the -situation,
the mayor expressing the
opinion that next year a satisfac
tory arrangement no doubt can be
made with reference to the use of
"water for lawns, etc Mayor Ewing
reiterated a former official state
ment that he believed the irriga

'from three to two hours twice

VThe city's electric power bills
are higher when the pump is func

irrigators who 'fudge' on the use
of water, and meters in such cases
would be economy for the town,"
Bryan interposed. - It was noted
that as the irrigation season is
virtually over for this year there
should be no further Irregulari
