Has Twin Heifers - Mrs. Earl Harman of the North Howell district reports that one of their rows recently produced twin heifer calves. This particu lar cow is fire years old and has produced fire heifers. MOM SUCCESS JEFFERSON, Aug. 24. The Past Noble Grand club and Reb ekahs and their families enjoyed their annual picnic in the sxsve at Camp Saatiam, along the river. At the aeon hour, a bountiful dinner was served In Mrs. Black well's Tea Garden. The rest of the time was spent In games and conversation. Mr. and Mrs. T. O. Kester and son Herman, and Miss Jean Mc Kee motored to Sunnyside, Wash ington, Wednesday for a few days' visit at the home ot Mr, and Mrs. E. A. Geister and family. They will return Saturday, bringing Miss Eula Geister home with them. Miss Eula will attend Sa lem high school and will be sec retary to the principal. Mr. and Mrs. Willie Kelly are now living at Bellfountaln, where Mr. Kelly is getting out logs, at the rate of 12.0Q0 feet per day. Mr. and Mrs. George CarroU and son Joseph of Kelso, Wash ington, spent the first of the week visiting Mrs. Carroll's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.- R. McKee at the Ter minal. A hot, dry east wind' on Tuesday made the woods extremely cry. George Random returned re cently from Sacramento, where he has spent the past several months' with relatives. He is at the home of his daughter. Mrs. Roy Taylor on King's Prairie. " Harry White who .lives east of Gates has been quite seriously ill the past few weeks. White has been In poor health for several years. The hot weather brought on a serious turn to his aliment. Mr. and Mrs. Renal Hesseman came out recently from the Guth rie MacDougall road' camp east pf Detroit where they have been living since June. Hesseman ex pects to go to Jordan for employ ment. ' The young couple are with Hesseman's mother - Mrs. Roy Taylor on King's Prairie for the present. HYT m SUFFERED ir STIVER, Aug. 24. A daughter was born to Mr. and Mrs. Dean AUen August. 15. They- named her Lois Ann. O. A. Rice suffered a stroke of . paralysis ' Monday morning. He was cutting wood for I. N. Conger and -was found they thought about aa hour after the attack. His children are all here except one daughter ' who lives tn Canada. Margaret Douglas left Monday afternoon with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Davis ot Salem tor Netarta on a week's vacation. Mr. and Mrs. O. J. Bagley re turned Tuesday from a week's va cation to Newport. Mrs. H. F.
