Mrs. Nannie Griffin, who ac companied her daughter, Mrs. Charles Chalfant as far as San Francisco, on her way to Pan ama, and saw her on her boat the Pennsylvania, has returned home. Present indications -are cthat the regular August city council meeting at Silverton will be quiet when It meets Monday night. "Nothing of special Interest Is expected to come up," says Mayor E. W. Carver. -The report on tne pro gress of the sewage disposal plant will likely not be made as indications are that the com mittee will not have met prior to this meeting. A committee consisting of P. L. Brown, Hugh Range and Charles Reynolds was appointed to make preliminary plans for the plant, following a special meeting of the council held last week.
