CAP) Market for batter continued -to reflect a very 'firm tone, locally as well as .alone; the coast gen erally. Production continued to drop in most sectlona while de mand waa actually Increasing. Bntterfat waa firm. Almost general strength -was suggested in the egg trade. While prices were, not at all uniform on short held storage goods, fresh. stock waa well held. Continued heary shipments of chickens to market, were wreck ing what was left of a fairly good market. Springers are now weak and lower instead of allow ing strength as formerly. Market for country killed meats of all sorts shows a gen erally, firm tone with the pos sible exception or beef. Veal, hogs and lambs were alike mov ing up promptly at quoted fig ures. - ' , There was a very active ' de mand for raspberries with prices firm to higher in spots. Logan berries were also in better call with a fair movement of black caps. Strawberries were nominal ly quoted. Very active demand was show ing for apricots with California and local stock moving out well at higher prices. The movement was getting under full headway at The Dalles but the season was due to be of record shortness. Quite fair demand for new ap ples. Green and wax beans were still low as were peas. Angel Motor Company henceforth. Mr. San vain is a local resident and was for many years in charge of work at the cannery.
