tions are being made for the-antique
exhibit to be held in con
nection with the monthly, meeting
of the Presbyterian Women's Mis
sionary society at the church on
Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Clara
Jones Is to lead the devotional
service and Mrs. Alta Adams the
lesson study. Mrs. Ida Minaker
and Mrs. Minnie Siegmund are
hostesses for the social hour. Mrs.
A. E. Austin of Woodburn will
speak.

vais Past Matrons dab living in
the south section were hostesses
for the monthly club meeting at
the home of Mrs. Jack Imlah tn
Salem Tuesday. Those assisting

West Salem One of the last
of this season's pleasant card par
ties was held at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. William L. LaDue. High
scores were won by Mrs. Frank P.
Wells and Lynn L. Sloper while
consolation was awarded to Miss
Lottie McAdams and to Dale
Lemon. Miss Charlotte' LaDue and
Mrs. E. Lloyd Miller assisted the
hostess. ,

Hubbard Eighteen members
of the Guild met at the home of
Mrs. George Leffler Wednesday
afternoon. The new carpet the
Gnild bought for the pulpit of the
church has arrived and will be
laid before Easter Sunday.

Judges are from out of town

of the contest committee, Elma
Weller, as being splendidly equip
ped to Judge the results of the
competition. Awards of honor
are to be made the winners of
the contest, the aim of which
is to farther Interest and apprecia
tion for music and to aid la giving
a standard of accomplishment to
the young students. Parents and
friends are especially urged to at
tend and the Interested public is
welcome.

mercial club by not later than
1:30 o'clock in order to be prop

Junior Guild Plans
Benefit Bridge
The Junior Guild of St. Paul's
Episcopal church are planning a
benefit bridge tea to be held at
the home of Mrs. A. O. F. Perry
Thursday afternoon. Play will be
gin at 2:00 o'clock.
The committee in charge In
cludes Mrs. Perry and Mrs. B. H
Kennedy, Mrs. U. G. Shipley. Mrs.
E. B. Gabriel, Mrs. W. B. Chand
