Twelve pre-school chil dren and five Infants were exam ined. Two were brougnt m 10 check up on weight, two toxoids and one vaccination were made. A number of grade children were given eye tests. Literature from the health center was distributed to the mothers. Dr. Vernon A. Douglas was the examining, physician during the forenoon and Dr. W. M. Thome, local physician, took charge in the afternoon. Miss Nova Lyndes, county health nurse, assisted dur ing the clinic. Arrangements for the clinic were In charge of Mrs. Earl Bear, with Mrs. T. T. Palmer, Mrs. T. W. Smith, Miss Ada Thomas and Mrs. S. A. Riches, assisting during the day. Mrs. Chapman Back - Soon From Trip To Southern "Cal" HAZEL GREEN, April 1 .Mrs. Fred, Chapman is expected home this week from -an extend ed visit at Mr. and Mrs. William Black's in Los Angeles. Mrs. Chapman had the experience of the earthquake. Neither she nor relatives were hurt. Mrs. Chapman announces ar rival of a granddaughter, Betty Laverne Black, born a few days before the quake. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Sheldon of Long Beach, Cal.. writes Mrs. Sheldcn's brother Pearl Wood of spending two nights in a truck, and are yet living in a garage, ot being allowed to rebuild un til authorities think the danger is over. Mrs. Sheldon is a daugh ter of Lewis Woods, whose fam ily came to this community in early days. Mr. Woods attended Haxel Green school when deer were often seen near the build ing. Hop Growers to Put Out Magazine; Print Job to Mt. Angel MT. ANGEL, April 1. Plans are under way to put out a maga zine devoted to the Interests of hop growing on the Pacific coast. Lloyd Schneider, 46, of Dallas, was slightly injured Thursday night when his car collided with one driven by Charles Richmond of Dallas at the corner of Mill and Levens streets.
