Mr. Keller waa bora in Ealio
11a, Ohio, February 20, 184C, and
at the age of If years went with
his , parents to Missouri. From
that time, he saw attire service
in .Morgan's raid In Ohio, and
later, in 1864,, enlisted in . com
pany I of First Nebraska Caval
ry. He was discharged from the
war In November, 1865, and went
back to farming In Missouri.
He was wed to Mary A. Daven
port September 11, 18 89, at
Maryrllle, Mo. Two year later
they came west, to Hnmel eoun
tr. ; California, where they re
mained nntll 1900,' when they
moved, to Independence. They
hare since resided here.'- - - -
Mrs Kelley died here la Janu
ary 1929. Mr. Kelley was a mem
ber "Of: the Methodist ehurcn.
Sarrirlng are a son and three
daughters: Mrs. Carrie smjlley,
Mrs. Charles Smiley and Frank
B. Kelley, all of Independence,
Mrs. E. E. Roberts of Salem; and

CLEAR LAKE, March 20 The
revival at Clear Lake will contin
ue all this week, with Rev. Duff
the evangelist, and Mrs. .Naomi
Van Cleave as pianist. Miss Phyl
lis King as song leader and Mrs.
Grace Shrock as helper. An all
day meeting was held Sunday
with dinner at noon. A pageant,
"Pearly Gates," was given to
night.
The community club meeting at
the school was well attended. Dr
D. B. Hill of Salem put on a pro
gram showing the beauties of
Oregon.
The Junior Endeavor held Its
monthly social at the club room
