"The wool market has been ex

"The manufacturing situation
is hardly changed. Activity at the

"In the west there Is little or

there is a dls position to await
developments aad bids bare been
lowered where made at all.

Spectacular Upturns
Unrivalled in Many,
Months Past
CHICAGO. March 3. (AP)
In spectacular price upturns en
rivaled la many months, wheat
soared almost S coats a bushel
today.
Big purchase orders attributed
to eastera sources started the
wheat market skyward. Suecesstre
wavea of general buying followed
fast, and were attributed 'argely
to widespread expectance that
President-elect Roosevelt's Inaug

prove constructive, and that the
new administration at Wasbing

out of tho grata business. '
Despite late setbacks because of
increased selling to realize profits,

Late advance in the price ot

Sales were generally at top prices
for practically all offerings. Spring
ducks were in call with few arriv

reaching the wholesale way but
demand was good and prices well
held as a rnle. Hogs were about
steady. Demand for old lambs
and mutton remains favorable.

Conser of the Millersburg neigh

As there is no spring grass, Con

have led all their hay and he has
been busy distributing hay to
farmers for their stock.
Mr. Conser seeded his 45 acres

three crops of hay last year.
Besides baling 103 tons. Conser
fed the loose hay to his stosk
and filled his dairy barn with
hay to feed his stock over winter.
The alfalfa was not killed by
