COB'S ALFALFA EM OF JEFFERSON, Mar eh 3. Conser of the Millersburg neigh borhood, reports that alfalfa, as a Willamette valley river bot tom hay product, has been very profitable for him. From 4S acres he baled 108 tons of hay. As there is no spring grass, Con ser finds that his alfalfa is is demand among those farmers who have led all their hay and he has been busy distributing hay to farmers for their stock. Mr. Conser seeded his 45 acres three years ago, and harvested three crops of hay last year. Besides baling 103 tons. Conser fed the loose hay to his stosk and filled his dairy barn with hay to feed his stock over winter. The alfalfa was not killed by the freeze of the past winter, and Conser expects better yield of hay from his field la tbe fu ture.
