Tha Commercial Bollstla win say
tomorrow:
spotty demand for wool, in
samewhat smaller volume than
a week ago and aa easier price
tread baa characterised tbe mar
ket of the past week. Tha decline
la wool prices has been hardly
more than fractional aad amounts
to about a cent In Tina tops.
"The Kaster demand for foods
appears to be develop a lose
readily than had bean hoped
and especially In men's wear.
Spinners snd top makers have
fair specifications on old con-
tracta bat report little new busi
ness.
The first wool of the season
has been bought In Arlsona at 10
cents for a small clip of ffne and
fine medium wool ef fair French
combing length. It is estimated to
have cost not ever 31 cents, clean
basis, landed la Bostoa.
Foreign markets have been a
bit easier. Lorn ton closed with
the finer wools firm at opening

bred off about S per cent. The
Bradford top makers are down

on the butter trade. Due to ma-

declines in Port .ad prices while
there was a shortage of sappU
created unusual interest. Dairy

prices and those that created
them because tbey felt that an ad

That Independent interests de
not intend to fully follow the

Market for eggs was still show
ing a mixed trading tone and
price locally with receipts in
creasing and sales being made at
a spread of 2c for similar Quality.
No change by local co-ops.
Manipulation of chicken pricea
was reflected by. the fact that

shipping to Portland with break
ing values. Seattle was doing ome
buying here.
There was a scarcity of lire
light weight hens locally with pro
ducers not marketing freely with
the expectation of better prices to
succeed the current low record
ones.
There wss a good demand for

receivers were unable to secure
over 8 l-2c lb. for best generally.

The stock market's record ef
Improvement this week was marr

though trading again slackened
as quotations declined.
Steels softened toward the
close, presumably because the In

deeper into backlog last month
than had been anticipated. Un
