Jan. 18 (AP) Butter and butterfat pri ces held their own on the Pacilis coast during; the past week, and gained a cent on the Seattle mar ket which put the dealers buying: price of fat there at 18 cents, it is stated in today's weekly review by the U-3.D.A. burean of seri culture economics cooperating; with the O.S.C. extension service. Eastern markets declined slishtly during the week. The trend of production as last reported was downward in all sec tions except the Iskes territory. where creameries reported a gain of sbont leren per cent, cold stor age holdings on the Pacific coast continue lighter than s year a so, with about the same rate of de crease. Average production per cow as last reported for the country as a whole shows continued decline compared with the year previous, jnst as hare figures for every month since November, 1931. For 1932 average production per cow was estimated at four per cent under 1931. though the total number of cows on farms at the beginning of this year fs estimat ed at about four per cent ahovo a. yesr sgo. - Medicine Co.
