Scores of inquiries have come to County Fruit Inspector Van Trump seeking to know where plants might -be, as nurserymen can offer little or no aid in the replantings. Qne man yesterday said he was seeking ie,vvv plants. A few growers have indicated plans to send east for plants, but this is not only costly, but im practical because the east and west do not raise the same stock of berries, Van Trump says. Cal ifornia plants cannot be brought in, as yellows in the stock from the south have developed a rigid quarantine. Experiments with placing plants frozen in hothouses and behind stoves in an effort to determine life left in them have been almost entirely disheartening, growers report. , I R K PI. ens Dressed veal, top Dressed hogs 8.50 OS te 04 .01 te JOt 09 te .03 .02 to .01 .07 .05 ing cream 16.17c, sweet eraam higher.
