Competition for world export trade 1Q wheat toppled values like nine pins. Starting with an all time unequaled plunge of wheat quotations in Buenos Aires, a ser ies of market breaks ensued with Winnipeg and Chicago wheat col lapses affecting one after another corn, oats and barley. A cable from Athens that the Argentine government was negotiating for the sale of a large quantity of wheat to Greece had a specially unsettling effect. Chicago wheat future contracts closed unstable at virtually the day's bottom level, 7-8 to 1 8-8 under Saturday's finish, corn 1-4 to 3-4 down, oats a shade to 1-4 off.
