Incom plete returns from eight counties, exclusive of the counties to be af fected by the measure, all went heavily against the measure. Sev en up-state counties showed an al most two to one vote against the repeal of the state prohibition law. Including 52 precincts in Mult nomah county, the 66 districts out of 1,738 in the state returned 979 votes for the school moving bill while 4,643 votes were cast against it. Counties heard from also included Clackamas, Colum bia, Deschutes, Douglas, Linn, Marlon and Morrow. The most de cisive early vote against the bill wa3 In Deschutes county where two precincts voted better than 11 to one against moving the univer sity from Eugene to Corvallis. Exclusive of Multnomah coun ty where early returns on all state measures had not been compiled. the vote against the repeal of the Oregon dry law stood 1020 for and 1869 against. Clackamas, Co lumbia, Douglas and Marion coun ties gave slight leads for the re peal, while Linn and Morrow counties were more decisive against the repeal. The freight and truck bus bill passage was trailing in the re turns from 62 precincts in the state, including Multnomah coun ty, with 2334 in favor and 2485 against.
