Col. Green, , commander at Fort
Klamath, for 89 cavalrymen to
compel Jack to go with his band
to the reset-ration, provided that
could not be accomplished by
peaceable means and. that very
day, those men were to leave Tort
Klamath at noon, and no doubt
they were already far oa their
way, Iran (Iran D. Applegate) be
ing with them as their guide, and
his representative to endeavor to
secure a peaceful surrender.
