'Joint Guild Meeting Proves Interesting The Guild of the Court street and First Christian churches met at the home of Verda Olmstead for Its monthly meeting Tuesday evening. The evening was made most interesting by use of Indian costumes aad stories. Portland Marriage Of Interest Here ! A marriage of interest to Sa lem and especially of interest to Willamette university circles both in and out of Salem is the an nouncement of the. marriage of Miss Sadie-Jox Reed and Earl Douglas to Portland September 8. Since then his son Victor Madsen, has con tinued the seed growing on the same frm, contracting with the same company. These names are being checked against tha Oregon motor vehicle records. In most eases tha names of tha purchasers of these Wash ington license plates will ba re ferred ta the stata police for In vastlgation. A large number of names of Oregon residents who have pur chased 1932 motor vehicle li cense plates la California also have been received at the stata department. In cases where it Is found that the purchasers of foreign li cense plates are bona fide resi dents of Oregon, they will be cited to appear la court, and will be compelled to buy Oregon licenses.
