Stock exchange trading was at feverish pace early. 800,000 shares trading in the first half hour. Eastman was a high filer in the morning, getting up about 7 points in what looked like a squeete of shorts, but it reached 5 from the beet. Case rose 5, but closed up International Harvester gained abost 2, but then convert ed its gain into a 1-polnt loss aft er the dlridend news. American Telephone was not notably firm at any time, only up a fraction at the best, and it closed 2 lower. TJ. S.
