There are a number of different 4-H clubs in Woodh urn's grade schools. They are: , sixth grade hoys handicraft club, directed by Mrs. Ballard: 'sixth grade girls' home cooking club, directed by Mrs. Ballard; seventh grade girls' sewing club, taught by Wilms Doss; seventh and eighth boys' handicraft club, directed by Jack Kennedy: seventh and eighth grade boys' bachelor sewing, un der direction of Mrs. H. Overton; eighth grade girls' home making and home cooking clubs, , led by Mrs. Myrtle Clark. Altogether, there are about 100 boys and girls here registered in 4-H club work. The girl whose 4-H club work has been most outstanding throughout the year is to be sent to the clubs summer school at Corrallis, all her expenses to be paid by the women's auxiliary of the local American Legion post. Last year the chamber of com merce paid the. boy's expenses. That will probably be done again this year.
