" It was not only a delightful so

of the largest meetings of the
year. Although election of officers
-was to bare taken place at this
meeting it was postponed until
the May meeting at which' time
'the group will meet for its annual
trek to the memorial cabin in
Champoeg. Mrs. AI E. Ostlind will
hare charge of the May meeting.

James H. Dorsey, chairman of the
Maryland D. A. R. conservation
and thrift committee. She has
grown 48 of these tiny trees from
wee slips taken from the ruins of
the "daughter" tree which grew
