SMITH OLD SHELBURN SHELBURN, Jan. C Shelburn friends were shocked to hear of the sudden passing of Lucil Smith, wife of P. F. Smith at the Stayton hospital, Saturday. Mrs. Smith hurt her finger and infec tion developed. She was taken to the" Stayton hospital for amputa tion of the finger and died during the operation. The funeral was held Tuesday afternoon at the Stayton funeral parlors, with bur ial at the Shelburn cemetery. Mr. Smith was depot aeent at Shel burn for a number of years, but moved to Lyons when the agent was removed from Shelburn.
