Durkee's, conducted the service
assisted by the local pastor, Rev.
F. E. Fisher.
The pallbearers, who were all
young men from the Island, were

and Jake .Tompkins, Ronald Bad
ger and Millard Magnets.

Edward W. Durkee was born ia
Marseilles, Hardin county, Ohio,
June 14. 1838 and passed away
at the Clarence Rockhill home ear
ly Thursday morning at the age of
93 years and four months.

where he manufactured the first
woven wire springs on the Paclfla
coast. Many homes still possess
