Al coa Cummings, will become the bride of William T. Heseman, son of Mr. and Irs. E. B. Heseman. at lovely church ceremony held in the Jason Lee Memorial church. Rev. Hugh B. Fouke, Jr., will read the single ring service before an improvised altar of pink and white carnations, bine delphi niums, palm, flanked with grace ful white tapers. Proceeding the ceremony, Miss Luclle Cummlngs will sing "O, Fair, O Sweet and Holy", and "Beloved, It Is Morn", Miss Lois Plummer will play her accompani ments. Miss Dorothy Franks will play the wedding processional and -recessional marches. . Hiss Cummings will wear an at tractive gown ot ivory white sat in of long lines- Her floor-length veil will be caught with orange blossoms into a lace band, and she ; will carry a shower bouquet of Irory-colored roses and pink and white sweet peas. She will be given In marriage by her father. Miss Minnie Heseman, sister of . the groom will be the maid of honor and will wear bule chiffon and carry a bouauet of roses and sweet peas. The attendants, wil also serre as ushers, are the Misses Marian Griggs, Sarah Dark, Adalene Sey mour. Gwendolyn Hubbard, Fran ces Custer, Wild Fleener. Fran ces Graham and Eleanor Chad wick. They will wear pastel col ored frocks of silk chiffon and ' corsages of roses and aweet peas. i Mrs. W. Alson Cummings, mother of the bride-elect, will wear peach chiffon with a French flower on the shoulder and a white lace picture bat. Mrs. K. B. Heseman. will be attired In rose crepe with eggshell accessories. George Heseman, brother of the groom, will serre as best man. I A reception at the Cummlngs home will follow the ceremony. Local music teachers are cent ering their attention on the ap proaching date of the annual Joint convention ot the Oregon-Washington Music Teachers - aasocia Portland, June 1517. A number ot prominent Salem music teach ers will attend at least a. part -of the sessions. Those who will take the master class wCtch is being taught by Madame : Marguerila Melville Liszniewska will include Elma Weller, Miss Ruth Bedford, and Miss Dorothy Pearce. - Mrs. Denton will leave direct ly after the convention for San Francisco where she will attend the national biennial convention of the National Music Teachers association. Mrs. Denton will also visit friends at the conclusion of the sessions. The evening was spent in social con versation and planning for the summer's reserve work. V : fc-:-;-:-.tv: Artisans Lodge to Hold Picnic at Teeple Farm All Artisans, their families and friends are invited to attend an all day picnic Sunday, at Teeple's farm, near Lincoln. The farm la located about eight miles on the Wallace road about one mile and a quarter from the Lincoln store, on the Tight hand side of the road. Signs are being posted to direct motorists. About three hundred guests are expected, in cluding people from several coast towns, as well as a good repre sentation from valley towns. Those attending are requested -to bring their own picnic lunch and table service, while coffee will be furnished on the grounds. Among those attending from Portland will be president H. S. Hudson and family. Mrs. Hudson is state president of the Artisan lodge. . Mr. Grant was graduated from Willamette university In 1929 and during his senior year was president of the Alpha Pel Delta fraternity. ' He Is now practicing law In Portland. The wedding will be an unus ually colorful event, with vari ous tones of delphinium blue pre dominating. Miss High has chos en a smart blue- chiffon dress with harmonizing hat to match. Blue delphiniums and Dorothy Perkins roses will be combined effectively to .carry ou the color note.
