As expected, there was great ac
tivity la the market for straw
berries on the east side farmers'
market during . today's session.
There was not so much stuff of
fering and ! demand was keen.
Sales started outside the. market
at $1.25 for Gold Dollars and as
high as $1.50 for mixed loads of
Ore gun. Marsha lis and Dollars. In
side tha market, as usual, prices
were better. Gold Dollars started
at 11.50 and quickly cleaned up
at that, j Oregons and Marshalls
sold at a spread ot 21.25 for some
Tory smalt Oregons at the start to
1 2, which, prored to be the top
and the last price for good stuff.
Most of the berries mored $1.75
1.8i for locals with some raUey
stuff bitting an extreme at $1.75.
Raspberries sold down to $3.75
crate with only limited offerings
and demand. .
Gooseberries mored mostly 5e
lb., a few a cent better.
Spinach sales were $1.00-1.10
orange bos generally; a tew

Peas were slow movers around
5c generally; a few 5 -c.
Dalles t fancy turnips sold 5e
with fancy beets -5 ie dos. bunches.
Dalles carrots moved mostly
