The senior closs of Rlckreall high school presented its play, "The Little Clodhopper." before a very appreciate audience ot relatives end friends at the high school au ditorium Tuesday night. May 19. The parts were very well por trayed by the members et the class. Thotfff taking part were Doris Goodell. Katherlno Price. Lois Vernon, Kdn McCrow, Hen ry Morrow. Rey Hafterson and Lewis Hafterson. Musie furnished by the Hamil ton boys orchestra before the play and between acts was vory much enjoyed, as also were two vocal numbers by Curtis Fer- (uoo, wuu icwiuvwiiareiit via steel guitar. . About $30 was raised by the evening's entertainment, which, wilt be used to help pay for the suge curtains. Ball Club Gets Profits Taken at Aumsville Play r AUMSVILLE. May 22 A Play was given at the school house Wednesday night. May 20. pro ceeds going to get suits tor the Au marine baseball clab. The play was "The Family Affair". Those taking part were Mr. and Mrs. E. W. Empey, Helen McCollough, Gale Keith, Leonard Lee, Charles Pomeroy and Martin Brauner. A solo was ' given by Imogene Als man. A song, "Wall. I Swan", was given by Junior Howard, Harold Kromwall, Jlerman Walt, Robert Lucas. Ralph Alsman and Orval Prunk. Mrs. Ella England played the piano. The play was interest ing and the attendance larger - 8th Grade Feted At Hazel Green; Boys Are Happy .A , - HAZEL GREEN. May 22-The eighth grade class Is being very much entertained. Mr. and Mrs. Louis Faist. whose son Leonard Is a member, were hosts to party on their son's birthday. Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Davis entertain class -Monday evening.- Miss Alma Stautfer, primary teacher, gave party Wednesday evening at the J. V. Lehrman home. The class has seven boys and three girls. Demand was good and with quality around normal, sales were made quietly. Most of the Gol Dollars sold 2 crate with a tew off grade down to $1.75. Oregons and Marshalls moved quickly $2.25 generally with a few off-color at $2 and some se lections $2.50 crate. Gooseberries sold 5-c lb. The fruit is unusually small. Spinach : continued very scarce with sales mostly $1.00-1.25 box.' Peas were, in fairly liberal of fering; Selling at 6 -and 8c lb. Mostly 7ej Asparagus trade was steady; mostly 96c dozen bunches. Lettuce continued in fair call; bulk being .moved 85e crate. Old potatoes, sold fairly active; again at 7 So sack for. best. May 22rVrhe school children and patrons of the district enjoyed a pleasant all-day picnic at the school house Tuesday. In the morning the children . gave a short interesting program under the direction of the teachers, Mrs. Mable Narver and Miss Zoo Easterly. At noon a bountiful picnic din ner was served to a large crowd and in the afternoon every one enjoyed a generous . helping ot home made ice cream. The afternoon was spent in having races and baseball games. The school boys played thefr fathers in a baseball game la which the aged were victorious. The girls played the women in an Indoor baseball game . with the ladles winning by only .ft small margin. With the plcale the school ac tivities were ended la the pri mary room for this year. Due. to Ulnes this , spring. Mrs, Narver's room was closed for a few days. . so the upper room will not be closed ata Friday. , Lewis Family to t Run Camp, Idaho ZEN A, May 22 Mr. and Mrs. T, S. Lewis, well known I Zena couple left Sunday morning en route for Bergendorf, - Idaho, where their daughter. Mrs. Fred Hinkley operates a hotel at a hot springs summer resort. Mrs.; Lew- ' ts will assist her daughter this summer. Mr. Lewis will build tourist cabins while at the resort.1 Mr.- and Mrs. Ted Burns and chil dren.
