Ora- ' Among the- most Important of the highways under considera tion ar those extending from Lakevlew . to Burns, Vale to Burns, Pendleton to Burns and LaPina to Lakevlew. It was ar gued that tha completion of these highways would reduce ma terially the distance between Portland and Central Oregon points and eliminate much of tha congestion oa the ' Columbia river highway. Walker Charges Are Dismissed By Roosevelt NEW YORK." April 39 (AP) Governor Franklin D. Roosevelt Tuesday dismissed tha charges on which the city affairs committee asked him to oust Mayor James J. Walker from office. The governor declared he. did not find "sufficient Justification" in the complaint for further action against the mayor. He said It was fundamental principle of the state government that the people of the various communities elect their own offi cials. Tha greatest caution should be exercised, he declared, before the governor Interfered "to annull the deliberate decision of the voters."
