Its fifth week tomorrow morning.

has snch interest been manifest la
a religious campaign. - Literally
thousands ot people from all over
the county and from distant parte'
ot the valley hare heard the mes
sage ef the Kellems "brothers and
their talented wives. Night after
night tbe big auditorium of the
church has been packed to the
doora and already scores of people
have united with the churcb.
! The remarkable thing about tbe
present effort haa been tbe facts
that so many whole families have
united with the churches. Men
past 50 years of age who have
never been Christians are coming
and uniting with the Christian'
faith. .

At First Church - i
Tomorrow morning. Dr. Homer
Kellems will preach the sermon
at the First Christian church and
Dr. Jesse Kellems will preach at
tbe Court Street church. In tbe
evening tbe churches will unite In
tbe big union servfrtrat tbe First
church and Dr. Jesse Kellems will
preach on the theme "The Plea
and Program of the Churches of
Christ." There will be another
baptismal service at 7 o'clock just
preceding the evening meeting.
Last night another great audi
ence packed 'the church to listen
to Dr. Kellems. short lecture on
"A Big Game Hunt In Africa.
For a sermon theme the doctor
preached on "The Thief on the
Cross."
Ray Glatt, manager ot the
Woodburn Berry Growers' associa
tion, will not be a candidate eith
er for head ot the state depart
ment of agriculture oc head ot
tbe plants division In the depart
ment. Glatt made this ststement
when In Salem yesterday. He gave
as his reason his present business
situation which he said made it
unwise to leave his ranch for a
salaried position with the state.
Glatt said he would not be ad
verse to appointment as one of the
board of seven agriculturists who
will serve as an advisory group.
Max Gehlhar continues as the
most talked-of Marlon county can
didate for the appointment as
chief of the new agricultural de
partment. Glatt was ; originally proposed
by Earl Pearcy and II. R. Jones,
both prominent local horticultur
