" ; .. - I: Page Twenty-four I West Salem High Tension Switching Station Pepco Customers Enjoy Low Rates l The domestic light and power rates of the Pepco are among j the lowest in the United States: The present average rate for "Home Service" of all kinds for Pepco customers is 3.17 CENTS PER KILO WATT HOUR. As compared with this, the general average rate for the whole United States is 6.05 cents per kwh., or nearly twice the average rate paid by oar customers. The number of employes is 98, with a mfanthly payroll of about $ 1 3,000.; This division now serves Salem, West Salem j Sil verton, Mt. Angel, Woodburn, Gervais, TurnerjiPrat um, Monitor and Brooks, and their surrounding terri tory.
