ette river to permit year-around
water transportation to Ealem.
The navigation company now in
this business shows a steady in
crease fn volume of tonnage han
dled in spite of very discouraging
conditions cansed br the ex
tremely low water in the sum
mers of 1929 and 1930. We have
reason to believe that this' ton
nage .would be greatly Increased
If boat transportation were xnada
possible "through the summer

and Mary Schukey as the result of
an automobile accident October 2,
Thursday filed answer to the com

The defendant contends that
Martin Tlnglestad, operator of its
grocery truckwhom the plaintiffs
allege was responsible for the ao
cident, was operating the truck in
a careful manner and at a speed
of not more than 20 milesi an
hour, and that he kept a proper
lookout at the Intersection. The
grocery company further alleges
that the Schukeys failed to stop
their car before reaching the In
tersection. !
