story that sounds like a natural
for Will Rogers is being written
by Don Marquis, former New
York, columnist and author of
"The Old Soak."
It Is the tale of a country doc
tor, who listens to all kinds of
troubles, and., who dispenses ad
vice and homey philosophy as fre
quently as ne does-pills and. syr
ups. ..!.
Rogers Is slated to film this
story following the completion of
A Connecticut Yankee at King
Arthur's Court." There is no ti
tle determined upon as yet.
The cowboy comedian won
much parise recently for contrib
uting his salary for a week's per
sonal appearances to the com
munity chest. . For the most part,
Rogers has been cool to all ap
peals for bis services in benefits.
