family have returned from Port

been engaged in contract work on

Mrs. Fred Schults arrived from
Portland Wednesday, tor a visit

Curl's mother.

have returned' to their homo In
Bend, after spending a part of
their vacation with N. H. Looneey
and daughter. Marguerite, and
other relatives, in this vicinity.

Albany Friday to look after prop
erty interests. Ho is having a
well driven on his property there.

Thomas Shannon who died
Wednesday, at a Salem hospital
after a short Illness had been em
ployed for the past year by S. L.
Burke and son proprietors ot the
Riverside auto camp. Mrs. Shan
non is still at the camp ground
and is undecided as to plana for
the future. Mr. Shannon is sur
vived by a brother la Detroit,
Mich., and one in Canada.
Frank Hilko is having a fur
nace installed in his basement and
to also having Interior changes
and redecorating done in his res
idence. '
Tha ceremony of infant bap
tism was observed Sunday in the
Ford Memorial church. The
young candidates were Robert
Kaster, son of Mr. and Mrs. P.
Foelko and Charles, son of Mr.

Relnhart Roseland, who lives in
south Silverton, is reported as be
ing critically ill at her home. Mrs.
Roselind, who is 85, has been
confined to her bed tpr three
weeks.
C. L. Bonney, an employe at the
Silver Falls Timber company mill,
has leased the homo of Mrs. Olga
Hoftard on Jersey street and la
having his household furniture
shipped here from Chicago. Mrs.
Bonney will also arrive at Silver
ton in the near future.
One Silverton hopgrower has al
ready disposed of his hops. Ole
shippe-T 65 bales of hops, harvest
ed from 8 acres, to Portland this
last week. He received It cents.
