The cattle market was the one bright spot la the price range on the general market here at the close of the week, although all departments of livestock were on a firm footing. The cattle trade especially was healthy, with all grades advancing 25 cents. Good steers, 500-900 lbs., went for $7.75-8.50; good covys were f5.75-6.25, and milk fed vealers, $10.75-11.75. Heavyweight hogs, 250-290 lbs., advanced 50c at the' top and were qnoted at $10.10-11.50. Other grades were nnchanged at: $11.75-12.00 for lights. 160 180 lbs; $10,75-12.00 for medi ums, 200-220 lbs., and $11.50 13.00 for good choice fegder etocker stuff. Lambs, 90 lbs. down, .were" unchanged at $6.00-7.00. Wheat fell off one cent for the week and averaged around 94 i cents at the close of the week. Soft white and western white were 79 , and hard white, northern spring and western red, 76 c. Oats took one of its Tery rare reactions and fell 50 cents to $23.50 for No. 2, 38-Ib. white.
