Walnut Crop is
Reduced due to
Blight Damage
Blight has damaged the lSt
walnut crop until it will be much
leas than last year on a basis of
acreage -arrested, according to
local growers. The actual crop
will ao doubt be nearly as largo
as last year but this is because
many new orchards are coming
into bearing. .
The crop would hare been
much hoarier than last year sines
a much larger acreage will be
h arrested had ft not been for ad
verse weather conditions early la -the
season. Blight has made suf
ficient inroad now that It Is ex
pected to hold the crop down to
about 1000 tons.
