It was moved and carried that a .banner be prepared and presented at the end of the quarter to the school which had learned the greatest number of hcripture verses during the quarter. Iran I lad ley. SILVERTON, April 8 The first copies ot Tn Ap ple Blossom Time," and "Where is the Barefoot Boy," composed by Gertrude Estelle Morley, appeared at Silverton Monday of this week and are In display In the Olsen Parmacy windows. Mrs. Morleys songs were first sung in public last spring at Music Week pro grams at Silverton. At that time they proved very popu lar with the Silverton audi ences. Since then , they hairs been published by the Frank Harding company of New York and have now made their appearance on the Sil verton market. The doctor has steadily been im proving it since he bought it. One corner of the property has a natural spring and lake, which he has stocked with trout. This depression will be rocked and made into a sunken garden. In a year or two he is intending to build a larger home and will make his tract one of the beauty spots near Salem.
