alfalfa meal in the shipment has
been milled, sacked and shipped
in accordance with the above re
quirements. Such certificate must
also state the name and location
of the mill which manufactured
the product, the name and address
of the importer in Oregon,, the
amount of importation, and the
number and initials of the car
containing the shipment and the
data on which the alfalfa meal
was milled, sacked and shipped.
A copy of the certificate must be
mailed at time of shipment to the
Oregon State Board of Horticul
ture, Portland, Oregon. Any ap
proval granted by the president
of the . Oregon State Board of
Horticulture to any mill covering
the shipment of alfalfa meal from
the mill, as provided above, may
be revoked by him at any time
ha Is convinced that such mill is
not meeting adequate safeguard
measures.
Paragraph 2 Regulation No. 1
of Quarantine Order No. 7 Is
amended accordingly.
This amendment shall become
effective April 1, 1930.

AMENDMENT NO. 1
To Quarantine Order No. 18 Per
taining to the Potato Tuber Moth
and the Root-knot Nematode.
The fact has been determined
by the president of the Oregon
State Board of Horticulture that
in order to more adquately safe
guard the potato industry of Ore
gon It is necessary to amend
Quarantine Order No. IS.
Now, therefore, I, T. A. Sammls
Jr., president of the Oregon State
Board of Horticulture, under the
authority conferred by section 1,
chapter SB4 General Laws of Ore
gon, 1927, and section 4, chapter
242, General Laws of Oregon,
1915, consider It necessary to
amend' seetion 1 of Quarantine
Order No. IS to read as follows:
Section 1. Each ahipment of
common potatoes from said in
fested territory Into the state of
Oregon must be accompanied by a
certificate of inspection signed by
the proper state inspector certify
ing that he has Inspected the po
tatoes in the shipment and found
them tree from root-knot nema
tode and potato tuber moth, and
that they have been subjected to
vacuum Fumigation In not less
than 20 Inch mercurial vacuum
with dosage schedule of not less
than 28 ponnda of carbon dlsul
phlde and carbon dlxolde in com
bination per thousand cubic feet
for a period of seventy five min
ntes and hare not been exposed
to relafestation after treatment
Such certificate must ba signed in
writing and shall specify the ship
ping point, dates of inspection ana
fumigation, number of containers
in shipment, car name and num
ber and name and address of ship
per and consignee. A copy of said
certificate must be mailed to the
Oregon State Board of Hortlcul
tuxe. Portland. Oregon.
Section 1 of Quarantine Order
