At noon a pot luck dinner was served. A special meeting of the Brooks Ladles . Aid society was held at the home of Mrs. A. E. Harris en Wednesday far the pur pose of doing some snilting. William Shewey of Dallas Is r pending a month at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Sturgis and family. Mr. and Mrs. Miles Sauter of Salem were guests of Mrs. Jennie Gilbert recently. Mrs .Sauter and Mrs. Gilbert were old friends and neighbors in Colorado. Mrs. John Dunlavy spent the week-end in Jefferson as guest at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Rev. and Mrs. D. Mrs. McKeaxle and Miss Marlon went to do Christmas shopping and Mrs, Brown to consult a physic ian. Dr. and Mrs. A. F. deLeapinasse and daughter Miss Marie accom panied by Miss Dorothy Scholl were dinner guests of "Hy" Ever ding at the Hubbard Springs Hotel Tuesday. An evening of musle with the doctor at the piano and Miss Marie with the aazaphone was enjoyed. Many old fashioned as well as popular tunes were played, featuring "Crazy Over Horses"; In recognition ot "Hy's" fine racing horses. Sunnyside o 8 O SUNNYSIDE, Dec. 14 On Fri day evening. December 20, the Sunnjtnde school assisted by the Sunnyside Community club will present a Christmas program. The school will present several Christmas plays and carols. A cordial invitation Is extended to all members and friends of the community. Mrs. W. S. Chandler Is report ing a letter from her daughter. Miss Grace Chandler, who has been on an extended trip of the Middle-western states: with G. T. Heckarts. states that they are now on the return trip via the South ern route, and expect to be home by Christmas. Miss Chandler vis ited with relatives in Kansas City and other points. Mr: and Mrs. Kenneth Dyer are now domiciled at their new home on the Dr. Smith ranch, two miles east of Sunnyside on the Turner road. Mrs. Frank Barnett, who is at the Salem Hospital, recovering from an Operation, is reported to be getting alone nicely. The annual meeting of the Ma sonic order will be herd at the hall Thursday evening, December 12. Aum8ville AUMSVILLE, Dec. 14 Mr and Mrs. Lester Ellis entertained at their home Saturday evening a group of young people. The ev ening was spent playing various games. At a late hour a two course lunch was served by Mrs. Ellis. -The play cast ot Stayton high school earns to Aumsvllle school and staged the principal parts ot their play they are putting on to advertise the production at Stayton school.
