Knight Pearcy, a nursery man from Salem, waa the principal speaker on the program of the Woodburn Garden club in the li brary club rooms Tuesday Bight. The main business transacted was the decision of the club to aid in getting the streets of Woodburn appropriately decorated during the holiday season. The president, Mrs. E. E. Settlemier appointed Emily Hindman, Ina Bonney and Mrs. Guy Engle the committee in charge of this activity. A committee was appointed to be in charge of the next meet ing to be held December 10 and to arrange for the Christmas pro gram. The committee is Mrs. Rich ard Yates, Mrs. J. J. Hall, Mrs. H. Overton. Mr. Pearcy talked on shrehs, hardy plants and evergreens. He displayed samples of decideous and carniferons shrubs. After his talk Mr. Pearcy held a general round, table discussion during which he answered many puzzling garden questions. On account of the recent frosts, the chrysanthe mum display was rather limited. Are You Miss Majestic? Oregon Statesman and Fox El ftinore Coupons count RO votes each.
