Telephone Call
To Hoover May
Cost Neat Sum
SEATTLE, May 8. (AP) The
possibility of paring for a long
distance telephone call to Presi
dent Hoover's office faces two
Washington university students
who were callers at the Chi
Omega sorority house yesterday. .
In a prankish mood, Norval
Friese and Harold Lanoour, put la
a call for President Hoover. In a
few minutes the operator notified
the sorority house "Mr. HooTer'i
office Is watting."
Repeatedly the operator was
told that no one there really had
anything to say to the president
and after the fifth attempt to com-
plete the call, it was cancelled;
Members of the sorority aver
that if a bill Is presented, they:
will turn It over to their young
men callers. v
