Henry Doshe who has been con fined to his bed for some time with what was thought .to be flu has been found to.hve had a stroke of apoplexy. , Harvey Armstrong Is able to be at work again after being con fined to his bed with a serious case o'f flu. Conflicting datea and the Lenton season occasioned the small at tendance. Mrs. Glen Fox; Mrs. J. W: Mayo,, and Mrs. H. E. Tobie had .charge ot the affair, but ow ing to the serious illness the past two week of Frank, the - small son of Mrs. Tobiev the large part of the entertainment fell on the other two ladies. H. Hobson of this city Is in receipt of a letter written February 22 from Milton Wright of Dayton, Ohio, father of the famous Wright brothers, Inventors of the . air plane. In 1888 a young man Was sent from the .east to take charge .of the United Brethern college at Sublimity, the man was the above named Milton Wright. Daring his stay of about two years he made his home with the parents of Hobson. who lived a few miles south of Sublimity on the place where Charles- Hattenger now lives.. . . Mr. Hobson states that Sub limity has the distinction of be ing the first town in the valley ocatedT away from the . river to have a post office. Fatber Am Iavesitor, Too Milton Wright was also of an inventive turn of mind and while at the Hobson home -worked on a machine to produce perpetual motion. Wright went east to marry and with the Civil war coming on did not return. The college was dis continued from lack of pupils, the excitement of the war detract ing from education. Later this property was pur chased by Catholics who still own It. Mr. Hobson was a pupil of Wright at the Sublimity college.
