Plan Peace Series The Toung People's Christian Endeavor of the First Presbyterian church will hold the first of a series of four studies on the theme of world peace at -6:80 o'clock tonight. Paul Ellis will lead . the Initial meeting, the topic to be "What Are We Doing to Encourage War?" The young people have In vited . the two other endeavor groups of the church and the pub lic to meet with them at 6:46 o'clock in a pre-metting for a home mission lecture and slides. Legal Troubles Grow The trouble of E. L. McDougal, Port land attorney, were added to Sat urday when W. C. Wlnslow, Salem lawyer, filed a motion to strike hi fourth amended complaint. This 1 the fifth complaint, Includ ing the defendant in the caae of Z. J. Rigg v. the New Jersey Fidel ty company. The third amended complaint went to the state supreme court on a demur rer after Circuit Judge Kelly had overruled Wlnslow' demurrer to it, and Judge Kelly' decision was reversed. The motion filed Satur day recites that the fourth amend ed complaint I "In substance the same as the third." The suit ha, to do with Z. G. (AP) The coldest weather of the season visited Portland today. OBITUARY Craig John 8. Craig,- nearly 83, died Friday morning at his home on Salem Heights after a lingering Illness. Funeral services will be held at 8 o'clock Monday at the Rigdon mortuary under auspices cf Salem lodge No. 4, A. F. ft A. M. and with the D. A. R. of which he was, a member assisting..
