Oscar Steelhammer of Marlon

urer. The. assessors spent most
ot yesterday discussing tax ratios
for the year 1929. Today was de
voted to a discussion of office and
field routine.
The next convention of the as
sessors will be held at Klamath

McCormick Will

A recent letter from Kenneth
McCormick, who graduated from
Willamette university in June,
tells of plans of a group of Wil
lamette alumni to attend the
Thanksgiving football game be
tween the O. A. C. and New York
University teams. There are "more
than a dozen recent Willamette
alumni In New York and the sur
rounding country.
McCormick recounted atten'd
attending several recent concerts
in Carnegie hall and hearing an
address by Rabbi Wise. He is
regularly employed, by a type and
paper company having branches
in central and south America.
Women To Meet
On Wednesday
The women's missionary society
of Castle Chapel, United Brethern
church, will meet Wednesday af
