breaking risible supplies carried all fu
ture deliveries of wheat down today to
within a fraction of a cent of bottom
most price yet this season. On the ssg,
however, previous sellers intent oa col
lecting profits became active buyers of
wheat futuree. and brought about ral
lien. Corn advanced, chiefly on account
ralne delaying the crop movement. J

NEW YORK STOCKS
MEW YORK, Oct. 22. ( AP). Kx-
trsmely wide fluctuations along with
spectacular advances of 10 to 40 points
la a handful of high-priced specialties
which were offset by a few drastic
breaks and a long list of net declines of
1 to 8 nolnts featured stock market
trade today. Total sales approached the
4,000,000 skare mark, but the ticker
snared te keep fairly well abreast ef
the- market.
Coppers forced ahead as a rrouo en
buying influenced by predictions of an
early increase to 154 cents a pound In
ewpper export prices. New high levels
for the year or longer were registered
by Anaconda, Kennecott, Oranby, Miami
and Cerre de Pasco. Revival of activity
aad strength la Seneca which establish
ed a new high at 6H as contrasted with
the year's low at 2, reflected the recent
decision of the directors to reopen the
mines which are able to operate at a
profit after protracted Inactivity due to
Lew copper prices.
American and Adams Express shares
followed sharply divergent trends, th
former rising 84 H points to 2-A0H while
the latter broke 25 points to 87S.
