Will be Scene of Benefit Affair

THE beautiful country estate of Senator and Mrs. Charles
L. McNary, located north of Salem on the river road
will be the setting for the outstanding social affair of the
summer the benefit garden party, which will take place on
the afternoon and evening of Thursday, August 30.
Senator and Mrs. McNary who will leave in September
i or Wahington, D. C after spending the summer in Oregon,
offered their home for the interesting affair which will be a
benefit for the fine arts building at the University of Oregon.
ExtensiTe gardens, attractively
landscaped, surround the McNary
home. A large creek with rustic
bridges and a falls at the entrance
drive, adds to the beauty of the
