TOE OREGON STATESMAN, SALEM, OREGON, SATURDAY MORNING, JUNE 23, 1928 A I V Wedding of Miss Gillette and -Earl Bear Takes Place ' 'nt Walla Walla The marriage of Miss Agnes Gillette, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 6. A. Gillette of Walla Walla. Washington, to Mr. Earl Bear of Turner, Oregon took place Mon day afternoon, June 18, at two- thirty o'clock at the home of the bride's parents on School avenue. The living rooms and reception hall of the Gillette home were at tractively decorated with summer flowers of pink and white. An im provised lattice of clematis en twined with clematis and pink ros es formed the background for the service which was read by T. K. Volger. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. H. F. Kirk of Waverly, Washing ton sang "I Love You Truly" and "When." The wedding music was played by Mrs. S. W. Pratt of Oaksdale. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, wore a gown of white flat crepe and rar ricd a shower bouquet of pink rosebuds and lilies of the valley. Miss Elm a Crowe of Oaksdale, the only bridal attendant, wore a frock of flowered georgette. Little Miss Rosella Gillette, niece of the bride, as the flower girl wore, ruf fled pink georgette. Forrest Cillette, cousin rt the .jpt- bride, acted as best man. An informal reception follow J7iv ed the service. The serving table j in the dining room was centered I with a brass bowl of rosebuds and I brass holders with tall rose ta- I pers. Mrs. A. C. Hart and Mrs. C. I A. Bear poured and cut ices. Miss Marian McClaren assisted in serv ing. Immediately after the reception, Mr. and Mrs. Bear left on a wed ding trip to Canada. They will be at horns at Turner after July 1. Mrs. Bear is well-known in Wal la Walla. She graduated from Whitman college with the class of Vcb 1924. Mr. Bear attended O. A. C. M and is a member of a prominent ' Marion county family.
