' wi ir ;. t-i i. llflEBICBEESlGBS ALSO TWO OTHERS With the hardest home game of the season looming up for Sunday when the Bend Eagles invade Sa lem, Manager Leo Edwards of the Senators yesterday took steps to strengthen his club, particularly in the hitting department, by signing up Lyle Bigbee. former University of Oregon all round athlete who has been playing in organized ball 'for the last few seasons. This year he has been with Bend, but for some reason which had noting to do with bis playing ability was released this week and signed by Edwards. Champ Vaughn of Corrallis will be another addition to the Senator batting order Sunday. Both of these men are outfielders, but just which positions they will fill has not been settled. A third recruit Sunday will be Harold Hank, who played' third base for the Senators the latter part of last season and was liked for his hitting and fielding ability but mostly because he was a hust ler. He probably will not break into Sunday's game unless as a I ninrh hlttr ' I The league directors held a meeting at Albany last night, but no Important action was taken, other than a decision to take dras tic steps should any team in the future walk off the field so the Bend team did at Albany last Sun day. Jack Sharkey, Boston heavy weight, has agreed to terms through his manager for a match in July, with the winner of the Johnny Risko-George Godfrey bat tle at Ebbets field June 20, Hum bert J.
