Socer Club Members En tertained Recently Members of the Socer club were entertained Monday evening at the home of Miss' Glenna Russell on Fir street. Snapdragons, lilies and ferns decorated the living rooms. Mrs. Ray Lucas played several piano solos and Miss Glenna Rus sell sang. Mrs. Virgil Burson won; the prize as the result of a contest! held in the evening. Refreshments were served at a late hour by the hostess, assisted by Miss Anna Maruny and Mrs. Chester Russell. American Legion Auxiliary Sponsoring Interesting Affair Elaborate plans are being made for the interesting card party which the American Legion auxil iary will sponsor Monday evening, April 16, in McCornack hall. Mrs. Cyril Nadon is chairman of the committee in charge of the affair. Tables of both bridge and 500 will be in play. Prizes will be of fered by Stiff's, Giese-Powers;, Hamilton's, and the Imperial Fur niture stores, as well as Nelson and Hunt's, The Capital Drug company, and the Jell-Well company. The land exchange was first in augurated in 1912 and contem plated the exchange of isolated tracts of school lands within the national forests for one solid block of national forest land. Passage of several laws by both the state and congress were necessary before the exchange could be made. Passage of the final law in con gress was accomplished last year and immediately following this the state land board filed on lands.
