Divorce Case Continued The suit brought by NeUie Loose against Voorbis Loose was continued in circuit court yester day after being heard before f -nail crowd most ot th afternoon. The woman brought salt for di vorce against the defendant on the ground of cruel and inhuman treatment. Several acts of aUeged cruelty were enumerated. Voor bis Loose began a counter suit for divorce, claiming further acta of cruelty on her part. Each seeks custody of a minor child. Redwood Empire Folk Com ing North Later In Month; Will Visit Salem . For the purpose of pathflnding the route to be followed by the Redwood Empire Caravan tour of the Pacific northwest which will start from San Francisco at noon. April 25. a party of business lead ers of the Redwood Empire left San Francisco on Friday, April 8 at t a. m. Their Itinerary will carry them from San Francisco to Vancouver. British Columbia, and they plan to reveal the purpose of the caravan to the business lead ers and chambers of commerce in each of the 40 towns in which they have scheduled stop-overs. The advance delegation will pathfind the route and study at first hand travel conditions throughout the Redwood empire. The delegation comprises Lee Lebenbaum. President Redwood Empire Hotel resort conference. Eureka; Ralph Bolden. director Redwood Empire association. Pres ident bank of Guernevllle; Sen ator E. W. EXCEEDS AUTHORITY DEPARTMENTS MAY SELECT OWN AUTO INSURANCE The state board of control ex ceeded its authority when it at tempted to require all other state departments and Institutions to purchase a particular automobile policy designated by the board. This was the substance of an opin ion banded, down here Friday by the attorney general. The board of control obtains for a $11 premium a policy allowing up to 110.000 Indemnity for in juries to one person, up to $20,000 cor injuries to more than one per son and $1000 property damage. Acting under an act of the last legislature- the board of control held that It had authority to pur chase protection on automobile ror an state departments. The attorney general ruled that the legislature apparently did not intend to vest this power in tht board. The opinion was sought by tht public service commission.
