Crossing Agreement Reached
After considerable time spent in
negotiating, arrangements were
completed yesterday between the
Southern Pacific Railway company
and the Marion county court
whereby the court agrees to main
tain the grade crossing near the
Ray Brown cannery in the vi
cinity of Woodburn. The railroad
is to maintain only that part of
the crossing that is actually be
tween the tracks. On the other
hand the railroad grants the
county the right to have the
crossing. Permission was obtained
some time ago from the state pub
lic service commission.

Club Work Heavy
Boys' and Girls' club work has
many new members in the Hub
bard school, exactly five clubs
were organized In a single day
this week, says rural supervisor
Fox. This Is probably the largest
number of clubs to be formed In
a single school In one day. Two
health clubs, one cooking, and
two sewing comprise the group.
Forty boys and girls are enrolled
in. the work, though total enlist
ment in the clubs is larger, as
some students are working, in
more than one project. This
