Have Kidneys
Examined By
Your Doctor
Take Salts to Wash Kidneys
If Back Pains You or
Bladder Bothers
Flush your kidneys by drinking a
quart of water each day, also take
salts occasionally, says a noted au
thority, who tells us that too much
rich food forms acids which almost
paralyze the kidneys in their efforts to
expel it from the blood. They become
sluggish and weaken; then you may
suffer with a dull misery in the kidney
region, sharp pains in the back or sick
headache, dizziness, your stomach
sours, tongue is coated, and when the
weather is bad you have rheumatic
twinges. The urine gets cloudy, full
of sediment, the channels often get
sore and irritated, obliging you to
seek relief two or three times during
the night
To help neutralize these irritating
acids, to help cleanse the kidneys and
flush off the body's urinous waste, get
four ounces of Jad Salts from any
pharmacy here; take a tablespoon ful
in a glass of water before breakfast
for a few days, and your kidneys may
then act fine. This famous salts is
made from the acid of grapes and
lemon juice, combined with lithia, and
has been used for years to help flush
and stimulate sluggish kidneys; also
to neutralize the acids m the system so
they no longer irritate, thus often re
lieving bladder weakness.
: Jad Salts is inexpensive ; cannot In
jure and makes a delightful efferves
cent lithia-water drink,

Peculiarities of the Sunland
Sunshine Cities of the
Golden State
Editor Statesman:
The big tourist cities have ho
tels on the American plan at from
10 to 20 dollars a day. and other
hotels from three to five dollars a
day that are called chauffeur ho
tels. One at which our driver
stayed had 73 drivers from half
the states in the Union, besides
those that drove in French and
other foreign languages.
Some of the first built paved
roads are only 16 feet wide, and
trucks 10 feet wide drive the
tourists off into the sage brush.
The biggest hotels are filled up
mostly with one-lungers, or a frac
tion of a breath-taker, -and the
things served on the menu card
are about half-portions what you
would get at the Marlon. Some
of the house doctors, (and the ho
tels have from one to six each),
have what Is called a million-dollar
practice. Most of the big ones
cmnloT clinics, with X-Ray and
masseur features "on reference on
ly," and that appears on the bill
There are always 40 or 60 people,
mostly women, lined up In their
waitins rooms In these Sunland
Sunshine cities.
