McDowell Club Chorus Will Present Concert on Tuesday Evening The first Choro program of the serenth season of the Salem Slc- Dowell Club , will be presented Tuesday erening, . December thir teenth, beginning at eight-fifteen o'clocfc-at the Capitol theater. The concert, which marks the first ap pearance of the club chorus this rear, is anticipated with consider able pleasure by the Salem music loring public. . - The December concert will be giren at this early date in order not to Interfere with the- Christ mas holidays. Taylor An - attractive reception - was given Friday evening at the First Methodist church by the General Aid society In honor of the pastor and his wife. Rev. and Mrs. Fred C Taylor and also "those members who have joined the church In the past year. - - The church parlors were deco rated for the evening by Mrs. Carl Miller and Mrs. Poweu. Dozens of baskets of holly and other greenery were arranged about the rooms. A lighted Christmas tree was a feature of the decorations. The guests were greeted at the door by Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Lee.
