James Stevens, -novelist of Seaitle is spending the week-end with Mr. and Mrs. Albert Richard Wetjen in thebr country home north of Salem. Mr. Stevens Is the author of "Paul Bnnyan," "Brawnyman," and "Mattock." His latest book, "Saloon Days," Is to be published this fall. Mr. Stevens also writes for ; the Satur day Evening Post and .the Ameri can Mercury. His mother, Mrs. Stevens, accompanied him from Seattle.
