NEWPORT The extreme heat in the valley brought record crowds to the New part beaches this week, and many caiAps were established. The week end weather was a little foggy but ideal for hiking and picnicking. Tourists were thrilled with the high tides, the water splashing to the banks. The new pipe line for the Hot Sea Baths, which is to be under new management, is being laid on the beach. The Hot Sea baths will be a welcome addition as many or Newport's visitors come many miles for the hot salt baths. C. H. Bradshaw, manager of the Newport Natatorium at New port beaches reports quits an in crease in business. The tank, which is supplied with pure ocean watqr, has been repainted and otherwise improved since last year. Many are learning to swim, taking advantage of the expert instruc tions of George Ranipy Wilhelm. who is a graduate of Breithart Physical Culture Inc. System of New York. Special swimming events are featured from time to time and Instructor Wilhelm gives f re.
